For the beginning of Big American Dream, please visit http://chris-sanders-chronicles.blogspot.nl/2013/11/my-little-big-american-dream.html
The fall has come and brought the cold wind and rainy days. My dreams of becoming a great artist couldn't keep me warm anymore when I was sleeping on the bench in front of the Art House. It's time to find a house or an apartment or even a small corner somewhere in a dry and warm place. So, today I decided to go and search for the place I can call home for the next couple of years.
The prices per square meter in a big city are frightening when I compare them to my home place. And even a square meter itself looks much less in a city measurements. But well, now I have some income, I probably can find something suitable.
Let's start from that container house on the backside of the city. The house itself doesn't really look inviting and the surroundings are far from the touristic view, but the nice green trees fort he window might make it look cosy.
But not sure I am ready to spent my life in a place that looks like this from inside. It's very cool actually and reminds me of an old garage I was hiding in as a teenager smoking a joint. But being here every day would make me crazy. Well, may be later. When I become famous and completely spoiled with fame and money I shall rent a room here to turn it into my small studio where I can hide from my fans and create crazy masterpieces.
My next stop is a Motel. Is it green? It's supergreen! Just a simple place to crash. Looks good.
Inside it's as simple as it looks from outside. Just the minimum needed to relax. A bottle of Jack Daniels would make the rest making this place looking according to the current needs.
My uncle Vince always told me - aim at something you can't afford yet, so you have a motivation to grow somewhere, So, I decided to look for the lofts as well even I am not sure I have enough money for them at the moment. I always wanted to live in a high building like this one.
The view to the city from above is very peaceful. All the troubles and problems of a Big City seem so small from here. And the room itself is quite appealing as well. I really like this place.
While walking on the street and thinking of the houses I've seen so far, I noticed some very fancy looking houses to rent. This one is definitely at least three times as much as my current budget, but...
My uncle Vince has also told me: "Kid, if you dream anyway, let your dream to be a big one. Never restrict yourself within your dreamworld." So, I decided to visit this house as well. Looks quite sophisticated inside. I guess I'll need to hire a designer to decorate this one. Well, who knows, may be later when I get tired of living in a high building.
And at the end, just when I was walking to my shift at the theater I found another house. A big and a nice one. Not sure if it was a real vision or just a mirage, but I took a picture of it with my memory...
Well, I've seen enough for today and now it's time to think and make a decision. It's warm and dry, so for the last time I shall go and sleep on the bench before the Art House and tomorrow will bring me one step closer to my Big Dream. Tomorrow I shall have a house.
Chris Chronicles is a blog about my journey through the Second Life where I recreate the pieces of my dreams in form of artistic photos.

My little Big American Dream
It's nice to follow the developments of the new GAYstar sim. Each time I come there, I find something news. Slowly the contours of its urban face become very clear. The Big City or the place where the famous American Dream may come true. The place where one can become rich and famous just by the random game of chance. And so I decided to leave my small village home, buy my one way lottery ticket and start my adventure for the treasure hidden under the rainbow.
And well, just upon my arrival I met an Fairy... or an Angel... Well, actually it was Chris Magic who came into the City a long time ago. And guess what? He got his prize already. He's the manager of dance club here and soon he will give his very first party. I think I smell the scent of success here.
But first things first. I need to find a job, so I can survive the time before my own success story will come true. So, I started right away at the theater. Well, yes, so far it's just a porn theater and my job so far is to sale tickets there and assist the staff. But one day I might taste the success of the stage.
I haven't expected the requirements of the Big City. It costs a lot of money to live here. So, to make some extra I started to cruise offering escort services at the local shopping and hang out place. Besides some extra money it's also a nice way to build up my network.
And my dream? Well I spend a lot of time just right in front of it dreaming about the times when I become a famous artist who can make a lot of money with his artwork. I dream about my own expositions, parties and a lot of champagne.
But so far I haven't arranged a house yet. But it's not a problem. As long as it's warm and dry outside I sleep on the bench before the Art House and see the colorful dreams of my bright future.

Cities of Angels
Cities of Angels is a collection of artwork by Benjamin Glendale selected for the exhibition at La Sociedad de los Poetas Dementes, at the Mexico sim. It's all about cities and urban sims in SL. It's opened from today and can be visited at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mexico%20MX/141/46/20. I love Ben's artwork and it was a pleasure to visit his exhibition there today.
"Wings of Desire" is a another work I can just sit before and let my fantasy to unfold the frozen image into a whole story.
The citiescapes are always appealing to me with their realism and emptiness that triggers curiosities and invites to step in and explore.
And here there is just a random picture of the sim the gallery is located. "A little bit of everything" - as a random local I met told me. Nice place to be.

Atumnal experience
Well, guys, I guess I never told you, that I have another very dear place I can call house besides Fogo Loch. A small 512 piece of land at the ocean side I own. A private tropical island. It's always nice to escape there watching sun descending into the depths of the ocean and relax. But being honest, I like the seasons changes very much and being on the same tropical island all the year long can be pretty boring. So sometimes I try to make something else of my little piece of land. And I have to say, it's quite a challenge with 117 prims only.
This time I transformed this island into a piece of autumnal forest with a little cottage on it.
This time I transformed this island into a piece of autumnal forest with a little cottage on it.
From this point of view it even looks much bigger than the 512 piece of land.
And well, I decided not to abandon the ocean side as I still like the sunsets there. Let's think of it as of a big Lake in the middle of the forest.
And at night, when the Blood Moon rises, the place is turned into a haunted village where the lost demons can find their shelter.

Turning of Alle
Alle has got his turning on Fogo Loch and is our baby vampire now. Congratulations to Alle and Epic! Here you can find some selected pictures from the turning and the copy of speeches during the ceremony.
Perseus about Alle: Allemanikes Abeyante is 4 years and 8 months. He joined Bloodlines and Fogo on 6th September 2013. He lieged to Count Epicurious Klees. He really is an unique guy, and a challenge to everyone who really wants to know him better. He is quite a surprise. No one would think that he would become one of the most present members at Fogo. He even lives at Fogo Village now. Alle is a really sensitive guy, who loves his friends and who needs to be with people. He believes everyone is connected, no matter how far we are, physically meaning. I am sure that, as long as he is aware of his limits, he will be a great and powerful vampire. I still remember the valuable ideas he suggested to us, while creating Fogo village!
Epic about Alle: I am pround
to say that Allemanikes Abeyante has done me the honor of lieging to me. He is
extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high-spirited, he
constantly seek new and exciting experiences. He is are enthusiastic about
almost everything. He approach life with curiosity, optimism, and a sense of
adventure, like “kids in a candy store” who look at the world in wide-eyed,
rapt anticipation of all the good things they are about to experience. He is
bold and vivacious, pursuing what he want in life with a cheerful
determination. He has a quality best described by the Yiddish word “chutzpah”—a
kind of brash “nerviness.”I can say that I learned a lot also guiding him in
the paths of his second life starting now.
The speech by Alle: I am the
one that makes your mind fly, I 'm your start and end. And you are all fallen,
scared. All is vanity in this world will, everything is sad, is pop, it's
nothing. Who believes in dreams is because they already have a dead soul . The
evil of life lies between our arms and hugs. But I 'm not what you think. I'm
not exactly what the churches think. Churches abhor me. God created me so that
I might imitate night. He is the sun, I am the moon. My light hangs over
everything is futile : riverbanks , swamps , shadows. How many times have you
seen spending a veiled figure, fast, figure I will give all happiness. Figure
that kiss you forever. I was. I am. I am one who always you looked and can
never find . The problems that plague the Gods . How many times God told me
quoting João Cabral de Melo Neto, Alas, alas . Who am I? How many times God
said : My brother, I do not know who I am. Gentlemen, come to me, come to me,
come. I let them in spins fascinating, living in castles and in darkness, and
in darkness you will see all the splendor. What good you live at home as you
live? What good paying bills at the end of the month religiously, power bills,
gas, telephone, condominium, property tax? All of you are Faustos. Come, I
arrastarei a pretty wild life through a shallow and vain mediocrity, which is
what you deserve. Their very human insatiability , have lips, delicacies ,
drinks. I'm Allan Silva Jhonattan the wild spirit of the black forest.
Dark Side
There's a place that I know
It's not pretty there and few have ever gone
If I show it to you now
Will it make you run away
Or will you stay?
Even if it hurts
Even if I try to push you out
Will you return?
And remind me who I really am
Please remind me who I really am
Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?
Like a diamond
From black dust
It's hard to know
We can become
If you give up
So don't give up on me
Please remind me who I really am
Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?
Don't run away
Don't run away
Just tell me that you will stay
Promise me you will stay
Don't run away
Don't run away
Just promise me you will stay
Promise me you will stay
Will you love me? Ohh...
Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?
Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't run away
Promise you will stay

Cleopatra's Bodoir
Well guys, there is still one house more to visit. The house #4 where Alle invites us to taste all the luxury the world can give. A perfect decadence where the wine of your choice is served 24/7 accompanied by the finest delicacies. Four chandeliers of this room can turn the darkest night into the brightest day. And can you resist the seductiveness of the color Red? You haven't expect that all in a small village house, right?
Looking at the picture above you probably would like to tell me, that this room has already been shown on Chris Chronicles. That's true guys, it was already mentioned here. But only as a part of a bigger entry about the village and with one picture only. So, I thought it would be unfair to Alle not to give him the same attention as every contest participant got. Well, you may be also asking why Cleopatra's Bodoir? Well, just visit Alle and play with the poses. You'll get your answer.

The naughty side of Jonathan Smithy
We still have some more houses to visit. So, today we are going to invite ourselves to the house #2 decorated by Jonathan Smithy. And here we see another very good example that perfectly fits the village spirit. What is more welcoming and appealing when you are get a bottle of a nice dark ale? I guess I could spend hours behind that table drinking ale, having some funny talk with friends and observing the village life through the window.
And well, let me be very honest to tell you that the nice and relaxed home like feeling is not the only thing that attracts my attention here. I am also very interested in a darker side of Jonathan. I don't know whether he is a vampire, a lycan, a hybrid or a human, but there is definitely a darker side inside him. Look at this corner! I think it's more lycan related. Cause why otherwise he placed the picture of that Big Moon above his bed? Or the Moonshine drops around that guy's mouth on the wall?
And as the title of this entry suggests, Jonathan also does have a naughty side. I am not sure what it is yet, but look at the expression of that pumpkin face. He is definitely up to something... Don't let this charming smile to fool you...

The Lonely Vampire's Nest
First a good news, guys. I am glad to inform you, that everyone has survived the Haunted Hotel. Although there is no check-out policy, but we could seal the deal with the Hotel management. A big bottle of Aged Moonshine, a couple liters of blood and a sacrificed virgin helped a lot to come to the agreement.
Another good news is that I am recovered from the Haunted Shock and can continue showing you the Village Decorations. But first - please, remember to sign in for the Scavenger Hunt by October 16th. The Hunt will take place on Saturday, October 19th and there are still volunteers needed.
So, today we shall visit the House #5. Once I entered I got the strong feeling of a Lonely Vampire's Nest. You know, vampires are always traveling in style. It doesn't matter if they stay in a small village house or a big castle - they always create that simplicity of class and comfort. Looking at those pictures it's easy to realize who is the owner of the place. But that simple comfort is so appealing and inviting that you can't resist just to take a sit on that sofa and have some rest before running away. Who knows, probably it's just exactly what is expected of you.
If you never met him, you might being asking yourself who Sky is and how he looks like. Well, you've already seen him in the previous entry about the Haunted Hotel. It's the laughing guy with the axe in his head. And you can see another picture of him at the end here.
And here is Sky:

The scariest night on Fogo Loch
Tonight was the scariest night on Fogo Loch as Rhys Calhouon has taken us to the Unguided Tour through the Haunted Hotel. Some guys were scared to death before the tour started and left. Some needed to change their underwear several times during the tour. I am not sure how many of us are still alive. I am writing this entry now hiding in the closet of the hotel, but not sure how long it will take before they find me...
So, you understand - it was a great success. And for those who couldn't be there, just ask that creepy wolf on LP for the Landmark and make your own experience. But I'd say it's much more fun to do it in a group. So, take someone with you. You can also ask for the LM from anyone who was there tonight. And here there are some impressions of the Haunted night. Spoil alert! Don't look further if you prefer not to know what awaits you at the Hotel.
And let's thank Rhys and his little creepy assistant for the wonderful experience.
